On their maiden trip to India,American rock band Guns N' Roses tonight took their fans on aroller coaster ride by belting out their old hits like SweetChild of Mine and November Rain.
Notoriously famous for being late for their performancesacross the world, the band surprisingly started the show ontime.
Performing in front of 5000-odd people, the band alsoplayed their songs Paradise City, One in a Million,Welcome to Jungle and Think About You.
The band's lead vocalist Axl Rose introduced his mates -Dizzy Reed, Tommy Stinson, Chris Pitman, Richard Fortus, RonThal, Frank Ferrer and DJ Ashba - as he took the microphone."Hello Delhi, it is a wonderful evening I am happy to behere," he said.
Delhi witnessed its first hard core rock performanceafter a long time after Metallica's gig was cancelled. Withhead-banging a normal site at rock shows, fans couldn't stopshouting and dancing at the three-hour nonstop gig.
"I am a die hard fan of the band and had booked thepasses a month back. I am so happy they have come to India.They are amazing," said a college student.
Guns N' Roses was formed in 1985 and had Rose andguitarist Slash as its most famous faces. However, Slashparted with the band because of an alleged feud with Rose.Rose is now the only original member remaining from theband.
The band has already performed in Bangalore and Mumbaibefore this.
