Popular actor-comedian SunilGrover, who essays the funny Punjabi girl 'Gutthi' in ComedyNights with Kapil is likely to bid adieu to the hit TV show.
The show has become immensely popularthanks to producer-anchor Kapil Sharma's comic timing andrib-tickling combination of characters like Daadi, Bua, Palakand Gutthi aka Grover.
Gutthi's antics and songs have always left theaudiences and the guests in split. But rumours say thatGrover, the man behind 'Gutthi' has quit the show.
"He is happy that his character of Gutthi was acceptedand loved so much by the audience. He (Sunil Grover) won't bepart of the show due to prior commitments. It is less likelythat he would return to the show," sources close to thedevelopment told PTI.
Apparently, Grover demanded a raise in his pay packagefor the show which was not acceptable by the makers and hencehe decided to walk out of it. However, sources denied suchtalks.
Producer Kapil Sharma could not be reached forcomments.
