Singer Gwen Stefani and her husband and musician Gavin Rossdale are filing for divorce after 13 years of marriage, they announced in a joint statement, aceshowbiz.com reports .
"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time," read the statement, released on Monday.
As per reports, Gwen was the one who filed for divorce from Gavin.
The Hollaback girl hitmaker cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce petition, seeking to end their union. Repped by attorney Scott Weston, she is asking for joint custody for their three children, nine-year-old Kingston, six-year-old Zuma and one-year-old Apollo. She has chosen to refuse Gavin's spousal support.
