The Academy award winning actress had befriended theseries' creator Ryan Murphy and will now be starring in twoepisodes of Glee, where she will sing and dance, reportedE!Online.
The 37-year-old is no stranger to singing roles. Shehad used her pipes to play a karaoke hustler in Duets and acountry singer in Country Strong.
Paltrow, who is the wife of singer Chris Martin, willplay a substitute teacher at McKinley High.
The status is still "in talks" but filming is expectedto start in two weeks time, with Murphy as the director. Theshow creator had specifically written the role for Paltrow.
