Amitabh Bachchan, one of India's more net-savvy celebrities, has completed 1000 days on Twitter.
The grand old man of Bollywood announced on the social networking site this morning:
T 1000- That is 1000 days on twitter, every day without a gap ... DAY 1742 .. 1742 days non stop on Blog.. and FB 96 .. 96 days on FaceBook."
And just two minutes later he tweeted:
T-1000- and I want more and more ... will be on it relentlessly and personally and individually .. no ghost writing !! LET'S DO IT !!!
Big B took to Twitter in a big way and currently has 4, 325, 364 followers. He has a current tweet count of 18, 514.
Mr Bachchan has used Twitter, his blog and, more recently, Facebook to share personal information as well as his views on social and political issues. He has expressed angst, happiness and despair through the micro-blogging site. He also used Twitter to announce his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy and that his little grand-daughter was called Aaradhya.
Mr Bachchan may be among Bollywood's senior brigade but he's been quicker to plug into the world of social networking than many younger stars. Apart from a Twitter account, the actor is also active on Facebook which he joined in August last year. He also has a tumblr blog where he frequently writes about topics that he strongly feels about.
