Before "viral" was the buzzword, Dhanush showed what it meant to truly break the Internet with his catchy song Why this Kolaveri Di? The candid video of Dhanush belting out the song with its funny lyrics in a studio, took the nation by storm in 2011.
Nearly 10 years later in November 2020, Dhanush proved once again that he was a true sensation when his song Rowdy Baby from the 2018 Tamil movie Maari 2 crossed one billion views on YouTube. It was the first south Indian song to make this record.
