In Bajirao Mastani, Priyanka Chopra neither plays the brave Marathi ruler Bajirao nor his famed warrior bride Mastani. She plays Kashibai, the Peshwa's first wife -- the woman who is pushed to the sidelines of her husband's love story. As Kashibai, Priyanka lends a distinct vulnerability and dignity to her role, turning her into an audience favourite. While the film may have started off as Bajirao and Mastani's love story, it ended with the audience rooting for Kashibai's happiness.

Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey is a story of identical twins played by Shahid Kapoor. Priyanka Chopra only appears in five or six scenes of the testosterone-high flick but steals the show, yet again. Priyanka's Sweety is the heart of Kaminey and one of her best performances.
- 7 Khoon Maaf
Another Vishal Bharadwaj film, 7 Khoon Maaf based on Ruskin Bond's Susanna's Seven Husbands is a great example of Priyanka's sheer range as an actress. As a woman who has lost more than she has loved, Priyanka's performance in the film is worthy of celebration.
