French actress Vanessa Paradishas opened up about her recent split from Johnny Depp, sayingthat she is happy with her life today.
The former couple, who raise two kids together, announcedthey were parting ways in June after 14 years together,reported Access Hollywood.
"I don't have the recipe for happiness, but I think theengine is simply having the desire. It's not feeling obligedor forced or repeating yourself. I hate, for example, wheneveryou hear someone say, 'You have work at being a couple'. No,you have to want to be there. And for me, I want to be rightwhere I am right now," she said.
The actress, who is promoting her new film Cornouaille,was initially hesitant to speak of her prior relationship withDepp.
"I don't want to talk about him. Who said that artistsshould sell their soul, expose everything about themselves?It's my duty to promote this movie, and my albums, but can youimagine what it feels like to see people making a business outof your pain," she added.
