The 70-year-old actor will portray a legendary newscasterin the follow up to 2004 comedy movie Anchorman: The Legendof Ron Burgundy, which will also see him join fellowfranchise newcomer Kristen Wiig, said the Hollywood Reporter.Harrison's alter-ego is said to be similar to NBC'sNightly News anchor Tom Brokaw.
It will not be the first time he has portrayed ananchorman after taking on such a role in 2010 comedy MorningGlory, which also starred Diane Keaton and Rachel McAdams andwas produced by JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk.
Harrison looks set to have a busy few years, which willsee him work with Abrams again after it was recently reportedthat he is to reprise his role as Han Solo in the forthcomingStar Wars sequel.
The actor played the character in the original StarWars trilogy between 1977 and 1983 along with Mark Hamill andCarrie Fisher.
