New Delhi: Television actor Karan Wahi has started filming his second Bollywood film Hate Story 4, co-starring Urvashi Rautela. Karan Wahi, who has featured in shows such as Remix, Dill Mill Gaye and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, shared a picture of a clapboard from the film's sets and captioned it: "A new journey begins." Karan Wahi debuted in Habib Faisal's Daawat-e-Ishq, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra. Hate Story 4 is the fourth film in the series produced by Bhushan Kumar and the third to be directed by Vishal Pandya. The first film, which featured Paoli Dam in lead role, was directed by Vivek Agnihotri.

In Hate Story 4, actress Urvashi Rautela had reportedly requested Vishal Pandya to tone down the intimate scenes. Vishal Pandya also told DNA that Hate Story 4 is inspired from a real life incident and therefore it will be different from the other films of the franchise in terms of its bold content.

The premise of all Hate Story films have the theme of revenge at its center. Vishal Pandya joined the Hate Story series from the second film, which re-launched the career of Surveen Chawla and marked television actor Jai Bhanushali's film debut. The film wasn't as successful at the box office as its successor, which starred Zarine Khan, Daisy Shah, Sharman Joshi and Karan Singh Grover.

Apart from the Hate Story films, Vishal Pandya directed Wahaj Tum Ho, which tanked at the box office.

Karan Wahi last television gig was Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 while Urvashi Rautela was last seen in Great Grand Masti and she appeared in a special song in Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil.
