New York:
Supermodel Heidi Klum is hanging up her wings after 13 years as the star angel of the luxury lingerie brand Victoria's Secret.
As 'Head Angel', the 37-year-old has been one of the most famous and recognisable faces of the brand, but she has now bid goodbye to it.
"All good things have to come to an end. I will always love Victoria's Secret. It has been an absolutely amazing time," the mother-of-four said in a statement.
Heidi first walked for the company in 2002, and hosted the 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
She completely stole the show last year by walking the runway in lingerie just five weeks after giving birth.
Now that Heidi is leaving, a new 'Head Angel' will have to be appointed, and speculation is already rife as to who will be the chosen one.
As both Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes are pregnant, Alessandria Ambrosio and Adriana Lima are in the running.
Or one of the newer Angels like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel, Chanel Iman and Erin Heatherton could be picked.
The German beauty modelled for Sports Illustrated, as well as being a spokesmodel for McDonald's, Braun, Dannon, Liz Claiborne and Volkswagen.
And she even made some forays into acting by appearing in TV shows Spin City, Sex and the City, Yes, Dear and How I Met Your Mother.
Klum has also made memorable cameos in 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'Perfect Stranger'.
She was named by Forbes as third on the list of the World's 15 Top-Earning Supermodels in July 2007, having earned $ 8 million over the previous year. And by 2009, her income was estimated at $ 16 million.
Amongst many other projects, the model who is married to singer Seal, is well-known for being the host, judge and executive producer of highly successful reality TV show 'Project Runway'.
She is also the host, judge and co-producer of Germany's Next Top Model.
