Anushka Sharma made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan
New Delhi:
It is tentatively titled The Ring. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Yes, we are talking about Imtiaz Ali's new film whose release date has made its way to social media, courtesy Shah Rukh's Karan Arjun co-star and friend Salman Khan. "Date maine decide kar di hai. Title tum log decide kar do," said Salman when he shared the first look of the film on Tuesday evening. Bollywood celebrities who volunteered and suggested titles include filmmaker Karan Johar and his Student Of The Year Alia Bhatt, who is also Shah Rukh Khan's co-star from Dear Zindagi. Meanwhile, '#AnushkaSRKOn11Aug' and 'Imtiaz Ali' were top trends on Twitter.
Salman 'ne ek baar jo maine commitment kar di...:'
Anushka, who made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and also shared screen space with him in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, was rather taken aback:
This is how Shah Rukh pacified Anushka:
Meanwhile, both Karan and Alia seem to have submitted their respective suggestions. On Twitter, Alia wrote: "August is too far away ya! Anushka, Shah Rukh, I'm saving the date immediately but Imtiaz what to put in as the title?" Addressing Shah Rukh, Karan said: "Bhai, I'm telling you, go with my title suggestion or then Alia's."
Anushka Sharma's verdict of sorts:
Folks, book the date, say Shah Rukh, Alia, Karan and Anushka:
Anushka Sharma, 28, and Shah Rukh Khan, 51, have toured destinations like Budapest, Prague and Lisbon for filming Imtiaz Ali's movie. Next, Shah Rukh will begin work on a film with Aanand L Rai, in which he reportedly plays a dwarf.
Shah Rukh was last seen in Gauri Shinde's Dear Zindagi and also has Rahul Dholakia's Raees set for release in January. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was Anushka's last onscreen venture, in which Shah Rukh featured a cameo.
