Mumbai:
Nikhil Advani, director of Suraj Pancholi's Bollywood debut film Hero, said that the actor's absence from the social circuits is a party of the film's promotional strategy. Hero also stars newcomer Athiya Shetty.
Suraj hasn't interacted with the media since the trailer launch of Hero, which is a remake of Subhash Ghai's superhit of the same name. Nikhil clarified that his absence is due to the promotional strategy planned by the makers.
"There is no specific reason for his absence. There is always a strategy in place and due to this strategy they (Sooraj and Athiya) haven't come out much. When the music will be launched, they'll come in front of the media," he said on the sidelines of the screening of a Marathi film, Mantalya Ulhat.
Hero, co-produced by Salman Khan Film, is releasing on September 11. It also stars Tigmanshu Dhulia and Sooraj's actor-father Aditya Pancholi.
