New Delhi: The trailer of Rani Mukerji's new film Hichki is unique, funny and has a message on the education system. Rani plays Naina Mathur, who believes that she was "born to be a teacher" - only she has a speech defect because of Tourette syndrome, which makes her an oddball teacher. She is given a class of students, who are also oddballs - 14 students from lower income group enrolled in an "elite school, thanks to Right to Education." Irrespective of her mood - happy, angry or even when she is addressing a serious matter - Naina involuntarily makes a sound "chuck-chuck," which her colleagues and of course, students, find funny. There's also a hint of ER Braithwaite's To Sir, With Love.

The trailer of Rani Mukerji's Hichki will also be attached to Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai, which is also produced by Yash Raj Films. Hichki went on floors in April this year. It will be Rani's second film after her wedding - the first was Mardaani, which was a success at the box office.

Rani took a gap of almost three years before returning to the big screen, here's why: "I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving our dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I decided to take it up."

Hichki is produced by Maneesh Sharma, who has directed films like Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Fan for Yash Raj Films. The film's director is Siddharth P Malhotra, who made We Are Family for Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Hichki will hit the screens on February 23.
