Is Hina Khan playing Komolika in Ekta's upcoming show Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 or not? Reports of Hina Khan playing the antagonist of Ekta's new show were growing stronger by the day and the television czarina just made it ambiguous. "Is Hina playing Komolika or not," wrote one Instagram user and many such comments followed. Hina Khan attended the premiere of Home, a web-series for Ekta's ALTBalaji, and posted a picture of herself with Ekta from the event. "And my first ever selfie with the woman I looked up to all these years... Your energy is simply love dear Ekta."

Hina Khan became a household name after starring in television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She played the protagonist Akshara for seven year after which the plot's focus shifted on Akshara's daughter Naira. After quitting the show, Hina Khan featured in two reality shows an two short films. It was reported that she'll return to the small screen as the antagonist in Ekta Kapoor's show and she was reportedly one of the highest paid actors on the show too. However, as of now neither Ekta nor Hina have confirmed the reports.
Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, the promos of which took the Internet by storm last week, is a remake of one of Ekta's most popular K-Soaps. The original show featured Shweta Tiwari, Cezanne Khan and Urvashi Dholakia (who played the role of Komolika).
In the new version, Erica Fernandes steps into Shweta Tiwari's shoes as Prerna while Parth Samarth has reportedly been roped in as Anurag Basu (played by Cezanne for six years and Hiten Tejwani between 2007 and 2008).
