London:
Hollywood beauty Anne Hathaway is looking forward to the "challenge" of hosting next year's
Oscars but feels intimidated as only few women have been given the honour to present the award ceremony.
The 'Princess Diaries' star will co-anchor the 83rd Annual Academy Awards with actor James Franco and is nervous about the ceremony to be aired live on February 27, Contactmusic reported.
"I'm convinced it will be a [nerve-wracking experience]. I found out that I'm one of three women to host since... I think it was 1987. Maybe I'm the fourth, I'm not sure. I'm still learning all the amazing statistics that I almost don't want to know because it gets a little bit too intimidating," said the 28-year-old actress.
Despite her apprehensions, Hathaway is busy dealing with the pressure of helming one of the Hollywood's biggest nights.
"I don't really have a great reason... I like a challenge. It seems like an incredibly cool and exhilarating thing to do. I'm convinced it will be a nerve-wracking experience," she added.
Meanwhile, Academy Awards producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer declared that they selected the two Hollywood stars to host the ceremony as the pair is "fresh, exciting and multi-talented".
