Ajay Devgn's next film Bholaa is making all the right noises among fans of Bollywood cinema. The film's latest teaser has only increased the excitement around the movie. Joining several of Ajay Devgn's admirers is Bollywood legend and frequent collaborator, Amitabh Bachchan. The superstar could not help but gush about the film on social media. Sharing the Bholaa teaser on Twitter, Big B – as he is fondly called – wrote, “T 4538 - UFFF! What a teaser ! My admiration and the very best wishes to you Ajay,” with heart and clap emojis. Ajay Devgn lost no time in thanking the actor for his support and said: “Thank you Amitabh Bachchan Sir. Need your blessings and good wishes always. Ajay,” followed by a heart emoji.
Bholaa has been directed by Ajay Devgn himself.
The second teaser of Bholaa, featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, offers a glimpse into the high-stakes action film. The teaser opens with a powerful line from Ajay Devgn's character, "Jo baap 10 saal mai ek gudiya nahi de paya, voh baap ek raat mai duniya dene ki soch raha hai. (A father who couldn't give a doll in ten years, is now thinking of fixing everything in one night."
The video showcases Ajay Devgn in an all-black outfit and white powder on his forehead. It also introduces Tabu as a police officer being dragged by what appears to be a group of thugs.
Sharing the teaser on his Instagram handle, the actor wrote, "Jab ek chattaan, sau shaitaanon se takrayega... (When one rock collides with hundred devils...).
At the teaser release event, Tabu described Ajay Devgn's directing style on the set of Bholaa. She stated, "When he's directing, he's a different person. He doesn't talk much, he doesn't laugh or smile. Sometimes he even forgets to give his actors specific instructions."
Tabu went on to demonstrate how Ajay Devgn would give her directions, jokingly saying, "He would just tell me to jump off a truck, punch someone, and fall. And that's it. Simple. I would tell him, 'But I'm not Ajay Devgn, sir' (laughing)."
Bholaa is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kaithi, which originally starred Karthi. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series Films, and Dream Warrior Pictures. It will also feature cameos from Abhishek Bachchan and Amala Paul. The film is set to be released in theatres on March 30, 2023.
