Farhan Akhtar can't keep calm as it is his daughter Shakya's 21st birthday. The actor-singer-producer left a set of lovely photos of them both on his Instagram page. There Farhan is first seen with Shakya when she was a kid. Then, in the next slide, Shakya is holding a rose in her hand. In the end, we come to a recent picture where she is seen flaunting her big glasses and vibrant smile. Farhan wrote in the caption, "Happy 21 Shakya. Seeing you grow into a strong, independent, fierce woman has been one of the biggest joys of my life. So proud of you. Love you more with each passing day. Pa." He added a smiley and a red heart emoji to complete his message. Farhan Akhtar's sister, director Zoya Akhtar left a red heart in the comments. Farhan's ex-wife and Shakya's mother Adhuna Bhabani also commented with a red heart.
Zoya Akhtar also posted Shakya's photo to wish her. She wrote, "My Fav Leo. Happy Birthday, Shakya. You light up the world."
Adhuna Bhabani also penned a heartfelt note for her darling daughter. Sharing the same picture as Zoya's, Adhuna wrote, “I'm so grateful for the privilege of having walked by your side Shakya for 21 years, and for stopping on the way to meet and greet every animal that crossed your path, to have been there through every hair colour under the Sun and the Moon but mostly to observe and learn as you grow into a truly authentic human being.”
Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar had been mostly busy with the shoot and promotion of the film Toofan until recently. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video last month. Farhan's physical transformation in this film stunned many fans and critics. He later showed us how much weight he had to gain and lose to make his character in Toofan. He called it "18 months of relentless work" as he posted his transformation photos on Instagram. The difference is stark as he showed us the "many shapes and sizes of Ajju aka Aziz aka Toofaan". He added that it was "worth every drop of sweat, every sore muscle and every pound gained and lost." In this post, he also thanked his physical trainers for the film.
