Sudheer Babu in a still from Baaghi
Mumbai:
Telugu actor Sudheer Babu, who will make his debut in Bollywood with Baaghi, said that he was inspired by his co-star Tiger Shroff's work ethics while working on the film.
"Tiger gets inspired seeing me in the film, but in real life I've got inspired seeing him. Fighting is not about hitting each other, it's also like dancing; you need to get the timing correct," said Sudheer, at an event.
"He always made sure he doesn't hit the opposite person. For me I hit him once, but he was very calm and he didn't even complain about it. I was the one who stopped the shot and said 'Sorry', but he didn't stop the shot," he said.
"Tiger is one bundle of energy, before the shoot or after the shoot, he used to work out. Even during the shoot he is doing some movement, some dance move or some kick he'll be practicing. I used to feel that the only time he's resting is while he's sleeping," the actor added. (Also Read: Why South Actor Sudheer Babu Initially Wanted to Decline Baaghi Role)
Sudheer is Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's brother-in-law and had made his debut as a full-fledged hero in 2012 film Siva Manasulo Sruthi
In Baaghi, he is the antagonist of the film who abducts Shraddha Kapoor, for which Tiger has to go to Thailand to rescue her. Sudheer will show his Kalaripayattu moves in the film.
"When I'm doing Telugu films, there wasn't much competition from the opposite side. But right now, I have Tiger opposite to me, so it was really tough. I really needed to work very hard to match up with him," he said.
Of getting stereotyped as 'villain,' Sudheer said: "I wanted to be recognized as a very good actor, that's my first priority, and I've seen that there is a lot of scope for performance in the character I play."
Baaghi is directed by Sabbir Khan and releases on April 29.
