Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and Pinkie Roshan, parents of actor Hrithik Roshan, got their first doses of COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday. Both Rakesh Roshan and his wife shared pictures of themselves from the hospital on their respective social media handles. In his post, Rakesh Roshan can be seen sitting in a chair and giving a thumbs up while receiving the vaccine. He wrote: "Unique day once in our lifetime 4321, 4th March, 21, to get vaccinated... Go ahead." Pinkie Roshan, who doesn't have a verified profile on Instagram, captioned her photos: "Covieshield vaccine taken...it's better to shield than to expose." She can be seen smiling while taking the vaccine shot. Another picture from her post features the couple posing for a photo.

Rakesh Roshan is known for directing movies like Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Kishen Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Koi... Mil Gaya and the Krrish film series. He is also a producer and a screenwriter. Rakesh Roshan has also worked in a number of films in the Seventies and Eighties such as Khel Khel Mein, Ginny Aur Johnny, Priyatama, Dhongee and Haathkadi.
