A still from Dheere Dheere.
New Delhi:
Anil Kapoor is highly impressed by his daughter Sonam Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan's music video Dheere Dheere, a new version of the popular track from 1990 blockbuster Aashiqui.
The song is presented as a tribute to slain T-series founder Gulshan Kumar. It is sung and composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh.
The original track, sung by Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal was composed by Nadeem-Shravan.
"I loved the video. It is fabulous and fully commercial. It is fantastic and the song is also nice," Anil said in an interview. (Also Read: Hrithik Roshan, Sonam Kapoor Star in Honey Singh's Version of 1990 Hit Dheere Dheere )
The 58-year-old actor is looking forward to the release of his next movie Welcome Back in which he will reprise his role as don Majnu bhai from the original 2007 movie.
The film which also stars John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia, is slated to release on September 4.
"It is always better to have a combination of old and new actors. Then it really becomes a family film and a good family movie. Naseer saab has a separate fan following. Everybody loves and respects him. Nana also has a different following and director Anees Bazmee too. He made films like Welcome, No Entry and Singh Is Kinng which were very successful," the Dil Dhadakne Do actor added.
Anil always gets complimented for looking younger than his age but he said that he knows where he stands today. The actor, who was last seen playing a father in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, said that he is prepared to do similar roles in future.
"I am a father. One of the reasons I look younger than my age is that because I am not delusional. Some people take themselves too seriously, thinking that 'I am so young and so good looking'," Anil said. (Also Read: Anil Kapoor May Not Look 58 But He's 'Not Delusional')
"But I know where I stand. That's why I did Dil Dhadakne Do. I am securing my future. So that people get to know that I will play such roles too (of a father) and Majnu bhai too. I don't have any misconception about myself. I am very blessed that I am here and I am a very happy person. I love making people happy," he added.
