Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshansays that he believes in accepting criticism, as it helps himto outdo himself.
"You need to accept criticism with a smile. Peoplecriticise you because they love you and want you to dobetter. If you want to do well in life, this is one thing, youmust take positively. Criticism has always prompted me tostrive better and outdo myself," the 37-year-old actor said.
The actor was referring to an abusive comment from afollower asking him to bring more emotion in his performances,on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Hrithik instantly acknowledged the comment by retweetingit and saying, "Am trying. Will try harder....love".
This was unlike many Bollywood celebrities, who choseto go off-line, when faced with a situation like that, therecent one being superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Hrithik admitted that he has been subjected to abusesonline, but decided to face it, instead of resorting toknee-jerk reactions.
"There are some people, who might not say things that youlike. Some might be a little too harsh. But how you chooseto react to a situation is completely in your hands. I am avery non-reactive person that way. It is very hard to get meto react harshly to anybody," says Hrithik.
The star says that it is really hard to get him angry."It hurts, but that doesn't mean that you hurt people back.Nor do I think that fighting or getting angry solves anyproblem. One needs to think logical, when you want to solve aproblem," he said adding that the belief holds him in steadduring extreme criticism.
