Hollywood actor Hugh Grant hasmade a "generous donation" for the refurbishment of a Scottishmuseum.
The Notting Hill star has donated an undisclosed sumto help the Highlander's Museum in Fort George, to reachcloser to their 3 million pound target for the renovation,reported Daily Star online.
"Hugh Grant donated a lot of money. It was a verygenerous donation which we are most thankful for. We've been lucky - all our funding applications havebeen successful. It's a good project and people are gettingbehind it," said Development director Peter Guthrie.
The 50-year-old actor's father Captain James MurrayGrant served in the Seaforth Highlanders, while hisgrandfather was a commander at Fort George after World War II.
According to reports the museum bosses have raisedmore than 2.5 million pounds so far.
The restoration work, which will include the buildingof a heritage centre, is expected to take two years when itbegins next summer.
