Huma Qureshi: Don't want to be a size zero
Huma Qureshi will be next seen in D-Day
Mumbai: Three-film-old Huma Qureshi, whohas managed to garner equal adulation and flak for her curvesin the size-zero-obsessed industry, prefers to be her prettyself rather than falling for the fad.

Huma was loved for her voluptuous figure and earthystyle in her first movie Gangs of Wasseypur. But she wascriticised by some quarters for her weight issues.

"In Gangs of Wasseypur I was the pretty girl, it wasa glamorous role. In Ek Thi Daayan I was the heroine. I havealways been the pretty girl. I think there are people who havea craze about size zero but today we do have heroines who arecurvier," said Huma.

"Either you think of it (weight) as a problem or as anadded advantage. I would like to be known for my personalityrather than size zero, I am an actress. I don't want to be ahanger," she said.

Huma feels there are so many actresses today who arenot size zero but still have a huge fan following. However, ifin the near future a role demands for her to transformherself, she is game for it.

The 26-year-old is looking forward to the release ofNikhil Advani's D Day.

In the film, Huma had to perform some heavy dutystunts and it was not only challenging but difficult as wellfor her to pull it off.

"More than shooting difficult action sequences, trying tolook like a RAW agent, keeping the character in mind, notforgetting the lines etc... There is so much synchronisationthat happens when you do action scenes," she said.

"Besides action, there are cars blowing up, gunshots, blast happening in the background and you don't want to messit up with (bad) performance...So all that is scary," sheadded.

The actress has decided that until and unless a very goodaction film comes her way she will not do one.

D Day will see Arjun Rampal playing an ex-officer of anIndian Armed Forces unit, Irrfan Khan an undercover RAWofficial and Huma an explosive expert. While veteran actorRishi Kapoor plays a negative role.

"Rishi Kapoor is my favourite co-star in the film he isfun to work with. He has great anecdotes, he is veryinspiring. He is child-like...He is dedicated and passionateabout his work," she said.

"Irrfan is a great performer. As a co-star, it is difficultto know what he will do next as he is full of surprises.Having an actor like Irrfan in the film is like a blessing, hetakes it (film) to another level. Arjun is the most goodlooking and fittest actor we have," she added.
