New Delhi: New DelhiHe is just one film old and has been bombarded with attention but actor Ranveer Singh is not complaining because he says his sole motto in life has been to get attention.
The 26-year-old actor, who became a hot property in Bollywood after the phenomenal success of his debut film, Band Baaja Baaraat, says he is an attention seeker and can do anything to get it.
"I have always been this attention seeker. I do things just to get attention. I love the claps, the whistles. Whatever I do, I do for it. I love adulation of any kind," Ranveer said.
The actor who walked the ramp for designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour and broke out into the famous hand movement from his hit song Ainvayi Ainvayi, said that he couldn't help doing the filmy step.
"As an actor I feel compelled to do something with my fingers, my hands, my face. It is a natural instinct. I am at times Bittu (his character in Band Baaja...) in real life," he said.
Ranveer, who swept all male debutant awards last year at major functions, credits Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to be the inspiration behind his filminess.
"I love Shah Rukh (Khan). He is my inspiration. I take cues from him, be it in my acting or otherwise. Like him, I also have been bitten by the filmy bug very early in life and hence I show my antics all the time," he said.
The actor, who will be next seen playing a conman in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, which also stars Anushka Sharma, model Dipannita Sharma and debutant Parineeti Chopra, is very excited for the release of his second film.
"The film is a romantic comedy in which I play a conman and I am very excited about it. I am also a con in real life at times."
He usually looks dapper in his clothes but Ranveer says that he is a very poor dresser and needs serious help whenever he has to go for an important event.
"I always want to look like James Bond. But I am a very poor dresser, so I have people to help me out. My wardrobe is full of under wears, a lot of them," he said.
Rumours have been rife with Ranveer's involvement with actress' Anushka Sharman and Sonakshi Sinha and when askedwhich contemporary actress is his favourite, he dodged the question saying he would love to work with his seniors in the industry like Kareena and Madhuri.
"I want to work with Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukherji, Kareena Kapoor. I can learn a lot from these leading ladies," he said.
