"I am an Indian girl working in Indian films and doing different things in spite of being in the zone," Sonakshi said.
Mumbai:
Sonakshi Sinha is certainly on a high these days. With major blockbusters next to her name and a big ticket Diwali release, Sonaksi clears all controversies and engages in a free-wheeling chat.
Question: Your first Diwali release with Ajay Devgn is on its way. Excited?
Sonakshi Sinha: I have enjoyed Eid with Dabangg. I guess it's good, as it's a big film, a big festival and a big audience, so I am excited.
Question: Your hot Indian girl image is the talk of the town.
Sonakshi Sinha: I am happy as I am in a good space. I am an Indian girl working in Indian films and doing different things in spite of being in the zone. I am busier than most of the girls who wear a skirt and dance around.
Question: There was recent news that you are no longer a part of Salman Khan's camp...
Sonakshi Sinha: Nonsense! What can I say? Obviously when you are working you can't attend a party. But I was there at Eid and even Ganpati and I don't need to explain myself to anybody. The relationship will always be there.
Question: You are known to be a very disconnected person. True or false?
Sonakshi Sinha: I am least bothered about what somebody else is doing in his or her life. So I wonder why someone is so interested in what I am doing? I am a very private person and have very few friends. I don't believe in going out of the way to be in touch with someone who I have met only three to four times.
Question: Farah Khan apparently removed you from her film as you hardly promoted Joker?
Sonakshi Sinha: I don't think the fate of a film changes the equations between people involved. Relationships are much beyond that. I promoted the film as much as I could. Things are fine between us.
Question: You are constantly linked with Ranveer Singh.
Sonakshi Sinha: I think that rumour has died its natural death. Beyond a point, it gets irritating. I hate gossiping so I hate people taking so much interest in my personal life. But I understand that the audience wants to read about me and I would be worried if I am not written about. If my link-ups were all that important my parents would know about it.
Question: You even learnt to ride a bike while shooting in Punjab?
Sonakshi Sinha: I saw practically all the seasons during the film's shooting in Patiala. It was one big happy family. Riding the bike was a lot of fun and I had never done it before.
