Mumbai:
Though veteran actor Manoj Kumar is remembered every Independence Day for his patriotic films and songs throughout the nation, Mr Bharat is a disillusioned filmmaker and person today.
He says, "I am living like a refugee in my own nation after Partition. The government seems to have no ways of clearing corruption or putting an end to unnecessary violence."
"The fact that today's youth has no respect for history and the contribution of martyrs for the country's independence shocks me the most. Today many don't even know who Jatindranath Mukherjee (Bagha Jatin) or Bhagat Singh are," the actor added.
Meanwhile Mr Bharat is planning to wield the directorial baton again.
