Mumbai:
Mumbai Two-film-old Parineeti Chopra, who is basking in the glory of her latest film Ishaqzaade, says she is ready to don a bikini.
Parineeti, 24, started her career with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in 2011 and said she has set no limitations for herself as an actress and will also do intimate scenes if script demands.
"I have no limitations and that is because I believe in myself. When you finish reading a script and you stillremember about that one kissing scene and think that the script is good... But just because it has a kissing scene, hence you will not do it. This means that with what intention the writer must have wrote that scene, you have not understood it," said Parneeti.
Even in Ishaqzaade, there are few intimate scenes between her and co-star Arjun Kapoor.
"When I was reading this (Ishaqzaade) script, I did not think of love making or kissing scene. The placement of the scene in the movie is right and it is not that it has been put for fun or for everyone to enjoy."If you like the script for what it is... if the intention of the writer is to have a lovemaking scene, or kissing sceneor bikini or dance or whatever, I will do it. I feel as an actor one must not have any inhibition," she said.
Ishaqzaade is a romantic drama directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. While the film is the launch pad for Arjun, it is the second outing for Faisal as a director after Do Dooni Chaar.
The film released on May 11 is doing well at the box office and has collected over Rs 16 crore in its first weekend. It is believed that the film is made at a budget of Rs 25 crore.
The rustic love story has turned out to be fifth biggest first day opener after Agneepath (Rs 23 crore), Housefull2 (Rs 14 crore), Agent Vinod (Rs 10 crore) and Jannat 2 (Rs 8.52 crore). "The film did well. It is not that you have to believe in it (number game).. there will be numbers involved. As youare making a film you will make money or not make money. Numbers can only tell you if people are going to watch the film or not. He (Arjun) had told me we must see the result from Monday onwards. It is not about see how much money we are making, it is like more people are watching the film even on weekdays," Parineeti said.
"Every film has an audience be it actors or directors or other factors.. there is no factor in this film that wouldhave attracted the audience to theatres. So for this film we are very proud," she added.
The actress is also elated with the response and appreciation for the movie coming from all quarters, includingthe makers Aditya and Yash Chopra.
"For me the biggest compliment was when Aditya and YashChopra liked our work. Their compliment matters a lot to us. They appreciated both of us a lot," Parineeti said.
Parineeti has also clarified that she has not signed any film with Arjun again or with directors Pradeep Sarkar and Shimit Amin.
