New Delhi: Her choice of films and roleshave have earned her the 'bold' tag in Bollywood but actressChitrangada Singh feels she is real and much more subtle thanother heroines.

"I don't think I am bold. It is not the right word. I amnot physically bold but very strong headed. I am not a satisavitri. I am more real in that sense and I feel that way Iam bold. There are lot more bold scenes in other films done byother actresses. But I am very proud of my choices,"Chitrangada told PTI in an interview.

The 36-year-old actress made a successful debut with thecritically acclaimed film Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi in 2003and followed it up with other off-beat films like Kal:Yesterday and Tomorrow, Sorry Bhai and Yeh Saali Zindagi.

And she says she is bothered by the fact that only acertain kind of roles are offered to her by some directors.

"Having a particular image does bother me. I hate beingboxed and have others thinking I can only be a part of certainkinds of films and do particular roles. I want to doeverything and I am happy that there are good directors whoare giving me something different," she says.

Chitrangada officially forayed into commercial cinemawith Rohit Dhawan's Desi Boyz opposite Akshay Kumar in 2011and then followed it up with an item number in ShirishKunder's Joker last year.

"I was trying to do something different and so I did thesong Kafirana. It was something that nobody expected me todo. I also did a very commercial Desi Boyz. I would love todo both kind of films - commercial and off-beat. It is idealto be in the middle and take your chances," she says.

The actress has reunited with director Sudhir Mishra forthe third time - after Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi and YehSaali Zindagi - for her next Inkaar, which deals with theissue of sexual harassment at the work-place.

When asked why she said yes to the film, Chitrangadasaid, "I don't always agree to whatever he says because I feelif I agree for the sake of it, I will end up doing bad and hewill end up making a bad film. It does not help anyone.

"When he came up with this film, I was very drawn towardsthe character. She is so powerful, equal, vulnerable and avery real girl."

In the film, Chitrangada plays the creative director ofan advertisement agency, who files a case of sexual harassmentagainst her boss, played by Arjun Rampal. The film hitstheatres on January 18.

"My character Maya is very layered. I absolutely relateto her. She is like any girl. She slowly starts to learn whatoffice politics is all about. She gets into a relationship andthen she manipulates a little bit.

"She is ambitious and emotional at the same time. She isnot afraid to be wrong. There is a seven-year journey. Thefilm is from two perspective - a man's and a woman's. But inthe end it is a great modern day love story," she adds.

Ever since the announcement of the film, there were lotof talks about the good-looking lead pair and their sizzlingchemistry was very evident when the first promo of the filmwas launched.

"Well shooting with Arjun was not that sizzling and hot.It was a tough shoot but it was good working with him. He wasvery involved on the sets. There was as a great comfort level.I really think chemistry is not something you can work on. Itis either there or not there. So for us it was very naturaland we just got along," said Chitrangada.
