Mumbai:
They say when in Rome, do as the Romans do. And that's exactly what Sushma Reddy did while on her trip through Maharashtra where she was shooting for her new TV show.
During her extensive travel, Sushma not only tasted some exotic Maharashtrian fare but also took part in local community activities. The hostess even learnt to milk cows and buffaloes for fresh milk. Sushma says, "The 45 days of travel was crazy. I travelled in a bus, rickshaw and even cycled. I had never realised that these places, which are just in my backyard, have such nice things to offer. I even saw 11 tigers at the Tadoba tiger reserve."
During the filming of the show, the locals had gathered around Sushma, urging her to milk their cattle. The actress says, "People in Kolhapur are obsessed with everything fresh. I had never milked a cow in my life and this time I did that and drank the milk too." Sources from the show added that the actress apparently even purchased a lot of local jewellery. Rumours are that she is already planning another travel show after this one.
