After two walks down the aisleHollywood actress Halle Berry has realized that she is not the"marrying kind".
The 44-year-old actress admitted to being an "idiot"in love and said that she would have been happier if she nevertied the knot, reported the Sun online.
"I wish I had known then that I was not the marryingkind. It would have saved me a lot of time, heartache andgrief over the years. I made all the wrong choices when itcame to love. I have been an idiot," said Berry who waspreviously wed to US baseball player David Justice and singerEric Benet.
The Monster's Ball star who has a three-year-olddaughter Nahla with ex-boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry, saidthat the lack of a paternal figure in her life, led her toembark on unhealthy relationships.
"My father left us when I was young and that didaffect my life. If I had a good father in my life, growing up,then I do not think I would have made the mistakes I made. Iwould not have been lost in love. I would have had a good rolemodel and known what to look for," added Berry.
Berry, who is currently dating French actor OlivierMartinez, has finally taken hold of her love life.
"Now, it is like a gift to myself, seeing moreclearly and making better decisions," said Berry.
