Mumbai:
Destiny played a major role inFarah Khan turning heroine with Shirin Farhad Ki Toh NikalPadi.
When Farah was offered the role by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, she took it casually and said yes thinking the film wouldnever go on floors.
However, she was surprised when Bhansali reverted to herwith the exact plan and shooting schedule.
"I had no wish to become an actress though I had done acameo or two here and there. When Sanjay first told me aboutthe film, I was surprised. I said yes thinking no one willfund where Boman (Irani) was the hero and I was the heroine.I thought the film would never go on floors," Farah told PTI.
But once she was in, Farah was sure that Bhansali and hissister Bela Sehgal, who is turning director with the film, will make a nice movie.
"I am someone who is totally unlike a heroine. Even inthe parties, I may just put a lip gloss by mistake but that'sabout it. In fact, photo shoots make me die. But I knew thatsince Sanjay was the producer, he would make a quality movie. Also, I knew that his sister wanted to make this movie foryears so she would put her life to make it happen."
Boman Irani's presence as a co-star helped Farah feelcomfortable about the film. Farah knew that she could trusthim to pull her out of tricky situations if she ever gotstuck.
"Because of Boman being the hero, there was a definitecomfort factor. We have been friends for so many years so Iknew that as an on-screen jodi we could not go wrong. Boman has this positive energy that makes things comfortable."
Meanwhile Farah is currently busy promoting two of herfilms. While in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi she would be seen as an actress, she has also produced Joker which releases exactly a week later on August 31.
"I am looking after the promotion of Joker thougheverything else from the scratch to the final copy is beingtaken care of by Shirish. All that I have done during themaking is choreograph the songs and then work with artists fortheir dates. I was the human resources manager for thefilm," she said.
