Mumbai:
Legendary actress Madhubala and dancing diva Madhuri Dixit are among the names that come to Dia Mirza's mind upon the mention of Bollywood's most iconic women.
"Madhubala, Madhuri Dixit, Manisha Koirala, Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen... these are among the most iconic women I can think of in Bollywood," Dia said here while unveiling the top 10 iconic bestsellers of a beauty brand.
If Dia was to grab one aspect of each of their lives, what would that be?
"It has to be Madhubala's films, Madhuri's talent! Manisha was one of the few naturally beautiful actresses when she came into the industry, and Aishwarya, I admire for everything... just for the fact that she is truly a global ambassador of India," she added.
Looking princess-like in a simple, peach-coloured dress, Dia was asked her beauty secret.
"I think beauty is in one's character," she said.
The former Miss Asia Pacific started her Bollywood career with Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein in 2001, following which she has featured in over 30 titles so far.
Last year she turned producer with Love Breakups Zindagi, which was her last film as an actor as well.
As of now, she is enjoying the relaxed pace of her work.
"You arrive at a stage in life when you want peace, you don't want to rush after things... so it's just that for me. It's time to reinvent myself, do new things, move forward and widen my horizons," she said.
Dia is reportedly set to tie the knot with her beau, director Sahil Sangha, this year.
