British actor Idris Elba, best known for his role as Stringer Bell in The Wire, may join the cast of Mexican director Guillermo del Toro's next project titled Pacific Rim.
Legendary Pictures is said to be "interested" in signing the British actor for an unspecified role. But Elba may turn down the offer as he is expected to get a lead role in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained and it could clash with the Pacific Rim shoot, reports totalfilm.com.
