Actress Emma Watson, who has long been inactive on Twitter, on Tuesday, shared a series of tweets on the platform, addressing rumours about her personal and professional life. Emma's tweets come shortly after The Daily Mail recently ran pictures of her clicked with her boyfriend, businessman Leo Robinton, and termed Leo as her "rumoured fiancé." Emma Watson and Leo Robinton were clicked by the shutterbugs on the weekend as they stepped out to buy groceries. Earlier this year, rumours of Emma Watson's engagement sparked up when she was photographed wearing a ring on her ring finger during an outing with Leo. In the series of tweets, the 31-year-old actress cleared the air around her engagement rumours and also talked about her career. In one of her tweets, the actress said that the speculations and rumours about her life are just "ways to create clicks." She also assured fans that she will share developments about her life - if any - directly with them. "Dear Fans, Rumours about whether I'm engaged or not, or whether my career is "dormant or not" are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue," Emma Watson wrote on Twitter. Besides engagement rumours, there have also been rumours about Emma quitting her acting career to spend more time with her boyfriend. These rumours were later put to an end by her manager Jason Weinberg. "Emma's social media accounts are dormant but her career isn't," he told EW in a statement. The last post on Emma Watson's Twitter before this is from August 2020.
Talking about her inactivity on social media, the Beauty And The Beast actress further stated that "no news" from her means that she is spending the pandemic "quietly." In a separate tweet, she wrote: "In the mean time please assume no news from me just means I'm quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are - failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people."

In her last tweet, Emma, sent love to her fans, and also thanked the frontline warriors for "working hard." Taking to Twitter, she wrote: "I am sending so much love to you, hoping you're ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times. And again, thank you to everyone working so hard to keep us safe and well."
