New Delhi : Ajay Devgn-Emraan Hashmi starrer underworld saga Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai has been recommended by the Film and Television Producers Guild of India for the panorama section of the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2010.
The guild recommends 10 films every year irrespective of language for the section as per the directions laid by the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF).
Produced by Balaji Telefilms, "Once Upon...", set in the 1970s has been directed by Milan Luthria.
An instant hit, the movie was well appreciated by all quarters and favoured for its stellar performances, visuals and music.
"When it rains, it pours. After an outstanding performance, the film is now heading for IFFI and hopefully, major awards. It is definitely turning out to be a major milestone for me," Luthria said in a statement.
The action drama also includes Kangana Ranaut, Prachi Desai and Randeep Hooda in pivotal roles.
Bhupendra Kainthola, director, Indian Panorama, DFF, told IANS: "There are 26 movies that are screened in the panorama section at IFFI and the Film and Television Producers Guild of India has made 10 recommendations like always. However, it is for the jury to decide which movie will be screened (at IFFI)."
