Kuala Lumpur:
Ranveer Singh's travel documents for IIFA weekend in Malaysia include a set of extra plane tickets. The Dil Dhadakne Do actor is hosting the award show finale on Sunday and so had to be in Kuala Lumpur in advance to rehearse with co-host Arjun Kapoor - but, because Murphy has a Law that cannot be ignored, rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone's badminton champ father Prakash is celebrating his 60th birthday on Friday.
Committed Ranveer is, therefore, flying to Bangalore in time for the party - Mr Padukone's birthday is actually midweek on June 10 - and will return to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday with Deepika, who will attend the screening of Ranveer's film Dil Dhadakne Do (and it will be at least the third time she watches it, we've been counting) and also the show he will host with Arjun.
This was Ranveer in Kuala Lumpur 24 hours ago with Andre Timmins, co-founder of Wizcraft which organizes IIFA:
Ranveer's Dil Dhadakne Do opens in theatres on Friday. Deepika's last film Piku made over Rs 100 crores worldwide and her performance was singled out for praise by critics.
