Soodhu Kavvum narrates the story of four misfit kidnappers.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty will team up with Imran Khan for the Hindi remake of the Tamil crime-comedy drama Soodhu Kavvum. The film is expected to go on the floors soon and Shraddha Kapoor is being considered as the female lead.
"The necessary formalities took place in Mumbai. Imran Khan will play the lead while Shraddha Kapoor is likely to be paired opposite him," read a statement from Rockline Productions which acquired the remake rights of the original.
"The (Hindi) remake will be jointly produced by Rohit Shetty's home banner, in association with A&P Groups and Rockline Productions," added the statement.
Actor Vijay Sethupathi played the lead in Soodhu Kavvum which is a story of four misfit kidnappers. The film will also be remade in Malayalam soon.
"The project has been pitched to leading actors in Kerala. Since Soodhu Kavvum has a universal concept, it is easily applicable to any language. The project will go on the floors soon," read the statement.
