Several legislators today sang hit numbers of Bollywood's first superstar Rajesh Khanna during a condolence motion in the Goa Legislative Assembly.
BJP legislators, including Vishnu Surya Wagh, Mahadev Naik and Subhash Phal Desai, sang few songs from Khanna's movies during their speeches. (Read: Rajesh Khanna's funeral pyre lit by Akshay Kumar, grandson Aarav)
Songs like Yeh shaam mastaani, Chal chal chal mere sathi and Roop tera mastana were sung by the legislators. The motion condoling death of Khanna was passed unanimously on the floor of the House before the session took a break for lunch.
Leader of Opposition Pratapsinh Rane recalled the moments spent with the actor during his visit to Goa for the election campaign.
Mr Khanna died at his residence in Mumbai yesterday. His last rites were held in Mumbai today.
