In Instagram Fail, Lindsay Lohan Confuses 'Donkey' for 'Beautiful' in Arabic

In Instagram Fail, Lindsay Lohan Confuses 'Donkey' for 'Beautiful' in Arabic

Actress Lindsay Lohan thought she was telling the world at large it was beautiful but ended up calling it a donkey instead. Two days ago, she tweeted the word 'habibi,' an Arabic term of endearment, with a link to an Instagram photo that said 'You're beautiful' in English, presumed to be a translation of an accompanying Arabic phrase.

The tweet is still there:

The Instagram post is not.

Lindsay, 28, deleted the post from Instagram after it was embarrassingly revealed that the Arabic word in the image meant not 'beautiful' but 'donkey.'

Luckily, as Time put it, it was an Instagram post not a tattoo. But a section of the press had been too quick for Lindsay - like TMZ who not only had a screenshot of the Instagram image but also of the Arabic to English translation.

This is not the first time Lindsay has tried and failed at Arabic. The actress caused a furore in January when she posted a picture mourning the death of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah but used the words 'Inshallah' (God willing) instead of 'Wallahi' (I promise by God).
