New Delhi:
If there's one person who seems to have struck the perfect work-life balance it's Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After surprising everyone with her wardrobe choices and walking the red carpet with much grace and poise at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan headed to London for a private vacation and some official engagements, with daughter Aaradhya and hubby Abhishek Bachchan.
Ash's London visit commenced with a special guest invitation to the opening of Bulgari Hotel. She looked stunning in a black and white Sabyasachi anarkali and seemed to have lost some of the extra kilos she'd been slammed for in the last few months. During the event the actress was seen posing with Slumdog Millionaire actor Dev Patel and met Italian actress and filmmaker Isabella Rossellini. (Pic: Ash is a Sabyasachi stunner)
After attending the star-studded party, it was time for the new mom and her little bundle of joy, Aaradhya to catch up on shopping. They were spotted indulging in some retail therapy on London's famous Regent Street.
"Just saw Aishwarya Rai with the baby in Regent Street at the Gap store shopping for the baby! Whooaa," an onlooker tweeted. (Read: Ash goes shopping for daughter Aaradhya in London)
More Ash and Aaradhya sightings followed. London resident Anisah Hussain got the opportunity to meet mother and daughter and was given a rare glimpse of baby Aaradhya. She revealed on Twitter that Aaradhya is cute with pretty eyes and eyelashes but, unlike her mother's, her eyes are brown. (Read: Aaradhya has brown eyes, reveals fan who met Ash in London)
Aishwarya and Abhishek largely escaped media attention during their quiet holiday except at a fundraiser for diabetes organised by British MP Keith Vaz. The couple were seen interacting with the crowd and talking about their baby. They also posed with Amitabh Bachchan's wax statue especially transported to the venue from London's Madame Tussauds museum.
According to a report in DNA (Aishwarya in no hurry to return to films: DNA), Ash and Abhi spoke about parenthood at the event. While Ash confessed that it was not easy to juggle her career and daughter, Abhishek admitted to feeling slightly guilty for not spending enough time with his daughter, since his wife is doing everything.
There was one last sighting in store for Londoners as Ash strolled around the city with Aaradhya in a baby carrier. (Pic: Ash strolls around London with Aaradhya)
And that pretty much sums up Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's vacation in London. Now, we are eagerly waiting for the actress to come back home.
