In US presidential race, it's Springsteen and Clooney vs Eastwood
In Obama's blue corner, Bruce Springsteen is leading the campaign for the President while Mitt Romney has his share of famous fans such as Clint Eastwood
Washington: With the US presidential electiontipped to be the closest in years, both President Barack Obamaand his Republican rival Mitt Romney are pulling out the bigguns with celebrity endorsements.

From producers, actors to writers and a number ofmusicians, everyone is taking part in the campaign rally.

In Obama's blue corner, Bruce Springsteen is leading thecampaign for the President alongwith celebrities like HarveyWeinstein, George Clooney, Madonna, Katy Perry, Pearl Jam,Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kathy Griffin, Cher, Chris Rock, Neil Diamond,Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Lopez,Scarlett Johansson and Tyler Perry.

Perry appeared at an Obama event recently dressed in atight blue PVC dress which featured the Democratic logo.Singer Neil Diamond, who is working the phones for theObama campaign, posted a picture on Twitter to prove topotential voters that he may really be on the other end of theline.

Legendary singer Stevie Wonder gave a surprise concert ata packed rally for Obama in Cincinnati. He also made anunannounced visit to Cleveland, where he did a street concertfor a small crowd of 50 people near the busy Cuyahoga Countyearly voting site.

The President also got the backing of comic actor WillFerrell, who made a hillarious video asking people to goout and vote for Obama.

In the red corner, Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryanhave their fair share of famous fans including Clint Eastwood,Kid Rock, Kelsey Grammar, Chuck Norris, Honey Boo Boo, MeatLoaf, Donald Trump, Jack Nicklaus and country music stars theOak Ridge Boys and Lee Greenwood.

In August, Eastwood was a 'surprise' addition to theRepublican National Convention. The 'Dirty Harry' star made abizarre speech by addressing an invisible Obama on an emptychair.

"It may be time for someone else to come along and solvethe problem," Eastwood had said in his speech.Rocker Meat Loaf pledged to do anything for Romney onstage but his rendition of Romney's favourite song Americathe Beautiful last month became the butt of many jokes whenit emerged the singer had not registered to vote in his homestate.

Americans vote for their next president on November 6.
