The sequel of Hollywood's sci-fi movie Independence Day is back with a new trailer, which is packed with more action, destruction and spectacular battle sequences between humans and aliens.
The two-and-a-half minute trailer of Independence Day: Resurgence begins with the reminder: "It's been 20 years," and continues with "It's 4th of July, let's show them some fireworks." The trailer however, highlights how the technology developed to combat extra-terrestrial invasion proves inadequate in the face of threats from a world beyond Earth.
The clip also shows that the movie is set 20 years since the last time Earth was under an alien-attack, exactly in parity with Independence Day's release year - 1996.
The movie stars actors like Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A Fox, Brent Spiner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe and Sela Ward. Mr Goldblum reprises his role as David Levinson in the movie.
