Greater Noida: Indian musical instruments seem to be making their way into the global music industry. Romanian musician Edward Maya has used an Indian flute in his new album and hopes that it will help make it a hit.

The 25-year-old was here to perform at the Formula One after-party hosted by actor Arjun Rampal's restro-bar LAP in Jaypee Integrated Sports Complex.

"I am very excited to be here. It's a great honour and pleasure for me to perform for the Indian crowd. I will play a new track from my upcoming album 'The Stereo Love Show'.

"I have used an Indian flute for the tracks and I hope it will be a hit very soon," Maya told reporters before his performance Saturday evening.

Maya rose to fame with his first song "Stereo love" in 2009. He then released singles like "This is my life" and "Desert Rain".

Maya said that he loves India and will soon be collaborating with an Indian artist.

"I am featuring with a great Indian artist very soon but I would like to keep that a secret as of now. However, I will be performing in India next month," he said.
