It is International Yoga Day 2021 and social media platforms are filled with posts by our favourite stars celebrating the special day. One of the most popular celebrities to join the list is the stunning Kajol. However, the actress gave her trademark funny twist to the post to mark the occasion. While many other actors chose to show just how good they were at their asanas, Kajol took a funny dig at herself in the new Instagram post. In the frame, we can see a throwback photo of Kajol fast asleep. The hilarious caption reads, “Yoga, you had me at Shavasana.” The actress further extended wishes to her followers and wrote, “Happy International Day Of Yoga.”
For those unaware, Shavasana is a restorative pose that is usually performed at the end of the yoga ritual. Also known as Corpse Pose, it relaxes the body. Kajol's post is relatable as it is almost every fitness enthusiast's favourite pose after performing some of the more complex poses. Moreover, it is a favourite even among those who hate exercising.
This is not the first time Kajol has made us laugh with her funny quips. Recently, the actress shared a photo of herself biting her nails absent-mindedly while reading a script. Sharing the photo, she wrote, "I will not bite my nails today!"
Similarly, on the occasion of World Bicycle Day, the actress shared a video from the sets of her film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. In the clip, she is seen riding her cycle alongside actor Shah Rukh Khan before she falls flat on her face. Sharing the post, she wrote, "And a very Happy Bicycle Day to you too."
And coming back to Yoga, we caught glimpses of some poses that were slightly different from Kajol's favourite asana in a post shared by newly-wed actress Yami Gautam. In the video shared by the Bala actress, she is seen in an orange T-shirt and black tights. Yami shared a time-lapse video of herself performing suryanamaskar amidst nature. The caption read, “Radiate positivity.”
Well, whether you relate to Kajol or Yami, these posts are proof that no matter where you are on the fitness spectrum there is an asana waiting to be tried.
