Karan Johar's reported meeting with Salman apparently went quite well
New Delhi:
The much awaited Salman Khan-Karan Johar collaboration could finally be happening with Shuddhi. Rumours about the hunt for Shuddhi's hero ending with Salman have swirled for two weeks. KJo, who is the producer of Shuddhi, reportedly drove to Salman's Bandra residence with the script of the film and their long meeting apparently went well. Shuddhi was first offered to Hrithik Roshan who reportedly pulled out of the film due to health reasons. The grapevine also suggests that KJo was also in talks with rumoured couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh but the filmmaker later denied the reports.
Karan Johar is a close friend of Shah Rukh Khan and almost exclusively worked with him for years. In 1998, Salman had made a special appearance in Karan's debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai - and that's where the fledgling partnership ended after SRK and Salman famously went to war. Salman's recent appearance on the filmmaker's hit TV show Koffee With Karan indicated a possible resurrection of the aborted KJo-Salman journey. The Dabangg star may have showed willing when it came to SRK's friend but he wasn't quite as forgiving towards his rival Khan, comparing SRK to a shark on live television.
There's no word on what SRK thinks about his old friend possibly teaming up with his arch rival. It certainly seems like this is the year for new beginnings for Karan JoharWatch
