Gearing up for an October wedding with beau Saif Ali Khan, bride-to-be Kareena Kapoor was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport in casual attire and a big diamond on her left hand ring finger. Is that an engagement ring, Bebo? We wonder.
Kareena, who's suddenly become all secretive about the big day, will reportedly wear Sharmila Tagore's wedding sharara on her D-day, but will not convert to Islam, unlike her future mother-in-law.
Nearly 43 years ago, Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore converted to Islam and changed her name to Ayesha Begum when she married Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi on December 27, 1969. Saif's first wife, actress Amrita Singh, also converted to her husband's religion. Kareena, it seems, will not follow the traditional pattern.
Sharmila Tagore and her daughter, Soha Ali Khan, have confirmed that the much awaited wedding will take place in Pataudi on October 16 this year.
