Mumbai: Actor Irrfan Khan said that he wants to work in Marathi films.
"Marathi films have increased their level nowadays. For example, Chaitanya Tamhane's Court is a fantastic film. Fandry released last year. If something good comes my way, then why not? I will surely do it," Irrfan said at the trailer launch of Deepak Kadam's Waakya.
Regarding the subject of Waakya, Irrfan said: "I think Waakya has an interesting plot. It can engage people. It tells a story about emotional crisis. Indian films are becoming extremely subject-oriented. 10 years ago, things were different."
Waakya features Master Panshul Kamod and Priyanka Dnyanlaxmi in pivotal roles.
