Poonam Dhillon at the prayer meet of AK Hangal

After working in films and TV shows, Poonam Dhillon has become active in theatre and is excited about U Turn, Ek Ajab Prem Kahaani. She says that she has made changes in the script of the play, which was earlier staged in Gujarati and Marathi.
"We had to bring about a lot of changes to the script. I don't believe that literal translations ever work. In fact, I have also written a few scenes in the climax for this version. We have added different thoughts and emotions to the Hindi version," she said.
The Hindi version opened on August 26 in Mumbai, while Gujarati and Marathi versions have done wonders in the theatre circuit.
The 50-year-old, known for her films like Trishul, Noorie, Dard and Zamana, has been involved with plays like The Perfect Husband, The Perfect Wife and Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi.
A love story of two lonely souls, U Turn, Ek Ajab Prem Kahaani has a good dose of humour, revealed Poonam.
"It is a relationship-based play about two characters who are at a stage in their lives when they are lonely and single. They come from different worlds and have nothing in common except that both are looking for friendship and companionship," she said, emphasising on the content being humorous but not slapstick at all.
She was also seen on shows like Kittie Party and reality TV show Bigg Boss.
