New York:
Bollywood actor Jackky Bhagnani, who made a faux pas last year when he misspelt Malala Yousafzai's name as 'Masala' in a tweet, attended the premiere of He Named Me Malala, a documentary on the Nobel Peace Prize winner in New York. And he even met Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson.
Needless to say, it was an "evening well spent" for the Bollywood actor.
Jackky shared all about his meeting with the Avengers actress and the premiere on microblogging site Twitter:
Scarlett Johansson channeled a formal look in black trousers and blazer.
He Named Me Malala opens a facet of Malala's life on the big screen and tells an inspiring story of how a teenage girl, who was shot in her head on her way to school in Pakistan in 2012 by Taliban, is undeterred by the threats and continues her fight for girls' right to education.
A single line in the trailer of the film - 'one child, one teacher, one book and one pen - they can change the world' - sums up her mission aptly.
Malala and her father Ziauddin Yousafzai also attended the star-studded premiere.
Jackky, who has appeared in films like F.A.L.T.U and Welcome 2 Karachi, thanked her father Ziauddin as well as other organisations for extending an invitation to him.
